Seattle Seahawks Greg Scruggs joined the Steve Sandmeyer show Wednesday, offering his thoughts on the White House visit, the depth on the defensive line and his opportunity to shine.
“If you give me the opportunity, it’s done,” Scruggs said … “I’m not here to just collect a paycheck.”
Scruggs also opined on which defensive lineman on the Seahawks roster is the best athlete, calling Bruce Irvin, who may or may not play D-line in 2014, a freak athlete. He also told Bill Swartz and Jason A. Churchill that among the 300-pound types, he’s the best athlete, saying he ran right along with running back Robert Turbin at VMAC this week. That’s fast, and Scruggs says he’s around 310 or so and plans to play in that weight range.
